Option for Refund and Refund Form 

Hello Senior Families,  

April 30, 2020 - The Senior Parents Group has initiated a refund window for May 1-15, so that families who wish to receive a refund for their grad night ticket may do so. If County guidelines ease this summer, we plan to host a live senior event with the targeted date of August 1st. Grad Night ticket money will help fund this event. 


As is the tradition, the celebration in August will include a large-scale raffle. Raffle items include prices such as bikes, TV's, electric scooters, iPads, AirPod’s, gift cards etc. If we are unable to host a live event, we will still have a virtual raffle. Only those students who have purchased the Grad Night Ticket will be eligible to participate. 

If you choose to request a refund at this time your student will no longer be eligible to participate in the targeted Aug 1st live event or the alternate virtual raffle. At this time, we do not have plans to offer tickets for sale at a later date.

Senior Yard Signs for All Amador 2020 Grads

By negotiating a collective effort of Senior Parents, Athletic Boosters, PTSA, and Amador Friends of Music, Senior parent, Jenny Shiblaq, was able to make yard signs for ALL of our Amador 2020 grads a reality.

​​Virtual Senior Baccalaureate - Sunday, May 24th at 4 PM

Senior Baccalaureate is going to be a virtual event. It will be held on Sunday, May 24th at 4pm. 
Tune in to watch inspiring speakers, musical performances, and a sentimental slide show of our Seniors “then-and-now.” 
The Senior Parent Committee would like to extend a huge thank you to Jen Murphy for working tirelessly to make this event happen! 


Virtual Graduation Ceremony  - Friday, May 29th at 7:00 pm

AVHS Administration has sent out communications with information regarding the Virtual Graduation Ceremony. On Friday, May 29th at 7:00 pm, the link to the video on the AVHS 2020 page will go live for you to watch the ceremony. The ceremony can be watched at any time after 7:00 pm. The ceremony will also be shown on TV30 at 7:00 pm as well, but it may vary due to their programming schedule for May 29th. 


Post- Graduation Fireworks Ceremony - Friday, May 29th at 9:00 pm

After the virtual graduation ceremony, there will be a celebratory fireworks show that will light up our Pleasanton sky to honor the Class of 2020. #PUSD2020 is collaborating with the Fairgrounds and City of Pleasanton to coordinate the fireworks show on Friday, May 29th at 9:00 pm. 


Drive-Through Diploma Pick-Up and Pictures - Tuesday, June 2nd to Thursday, June 4th from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm  
AVHS Administration has created an optional plan for seniors to receive their diploma and take a professional picture in a staging area. The detailed plan for Drive-Through Diploma Pick-up and Pictures, the dates and times for seniors to receive their diploma has been sent via email from AVHS Administration. Seniors are required to arrive according to schedule, as the plan and procedure is created in order to respect social distancing protocols, minimize traffic, and allow for the safe retrieval of students diploma. Please note that if you do not wish to participate in the optional photo opportunity, there is no need to come to campus. The school administration will mail the diploma to students' homes. 

Senior Celebration Event! - Targeted for August 1st
Since Grad Night and the (post-Senior Ball) After Hours events are both canceled, we are seeking to provide some kind of alternate celebration later this summer. Such an event will be highly dependent on county social distancing regulations at that time. And therefore, we would negotiate late cancellations for all vendor contracts.
Our target date is August 1st (the same date that we might have a live graduation ceremony). This event would be local, likely outdoors, and would seek to include elements of the senior ball, after-hours, and grad night.
Mark the date on your calendars and let’s stay optimistic that we can make this celebration happen for our Seniors!

Senior Photo Collages  
Thank you all for submitting the collages!
We are planning to display the collages at the Amador school site in an outdoor Grad Week Tribute honoring our Seniors. Collages will also be scanned for digital viewing on the virtual Baccalaureate and Graduation Ceremony launch page. If you still need to submit yours, please contact Erin Shimy or Lori Wagerman for info or visit the "Senior Collage" page for specific guidelines.

Alameda County Fair is also celebrating Seniors! 
CALLING ALL CLASS OF 2020 FAMILIES: The Alameda County Fair would like to honor the CLASS of 2020, we know they are missing out on many lifelong memories. Please follow the steps below so together we can virtually celebrate this special group.
1. Please submit a photo of the Class of 2020 Student in your life by doing 1 of the following, no need to do all three:
* Send photo via private message on Facebook
* Email photo to info@alamedacountyfair.com
2. Tell us the students name (First name only is fine, this is up to you)
3. The school OR the city (Does not need to be both)
4. (Optional) Favorite high school memory OR favorite quote
5. Share or tag friends so that we can celebrate as many from the Class of 2020 as possible
